"Golden amber color. Sweet peach blossom, clover honey, anise, and light peat aromas. A rich, vibrant entry leads to a very supple medium-to full-bodied palate with sweet dried stone fruit, toffee, honeyed toast, and exotic peppercorn flavors. Finishes with a long sweet fade of toffee and spice. Delicious and rich. 93 points" Beverage Testing Institute
"Bright light copper color. Sweet fig, burnt sugar, dried flowers, and peppery spice aromas are complex and inviting. A rich, vibrant entry leads to a robust full-bodied palate of sweet dried fruits, warm chocolate, dark caramel, lavish brown spice, butter roasted nuts and cedar flavors. Finishes with a long, complex fade of fruit, spice, and smoky minerals. Amazingly complex and deep. 97 points" Beverage Testing Institute
It has amber gold color with ruby highlights. Good sherried body with fruity aromas.
"Light oily feel to the malt. Medium-weight mouth feel (for a scotch). Peat seems to settle on the midline across the tongue, followed by Oloroso sherry and nuts, a touch of pepper, then malt and heather. Finish is dry, long, and toasty. " Spirits Review
