"This shows the ripe tropical fruit of a fine vintage, yet maintains the keen citrusy acidity that makes this vineyard’s Chards so balanced and ageworthy. Beneath the pineapple marmalade, apricot and caramelly oak flavors is a rich, flinty minerality that cries out for lobster. Score: 92. —Steve Heimoff, May 01, 2007." Wine Enthusiast 92 points
Our 2006 Chardonnay displays the balance and food-friendly elegance that Starmont fans have come to expect. Bright notes of pear, white peach, nectarine and crenshaw melon are framed by a hint of mineral, toast and vanilla bean. The wine is round on the palate with a long, easy finish.
This alluring wine offers tangy nectarine, crisp Meyer lemon and Pink Lady apple flavors, with subtle notes of nutmeg and oak. This is a well-structured wine, with lifted fruit, bright acidity and a long finish.
Medium-rich fruit on the palate with integrated acidity, mineral, and barrel influences. Mineral, tropical fruit, sweet spice, toast, orange blossoms and pineapple on the nose. The palate shows additional notes of lemongrass, flint, creaminess, grapefruit, butterscotch, & apricot.
