Maison Louis Latour rigorously selects grapes from the well-exposed commune of Lugny which was the only village planted with Chardonnay 30 years ago due to a perfect terroir. Lugny is one of the top vineyards in southern Burgundy’s Mâconnais region, Mâcon-Lugny « Les Genièvres » is simply an outstanding wine. Opulent, rich, with a flowery bouquet and lovely honey, apple and nutty flavours on the palate. Tony Blair the British Prime celibrated his election victory with a glass of our Mâcon-Lugny « Les Genièvres ».
"Fresh and lively, with melon, lemon, white peach and mineral flavors balanced by the smooth texture and bright acidity. Has fine dimension and harmony, followed by a long aftertaste. Drink now through 2018." Wine Spectator
This Pouilly-Fuisse is grown in several parcels belonging to the Vincent family (Marie-Antoinette Vincent is Jean-Jacques' mother). Those situated in Vergisson give a refreshing acidity and mineral undertone while the Fuisse vineyards provide body and generous fruit. The wine is vinified in small oak barrels by Jean-Jacques Vincent, owner of the celebrated Chateau Fuisse, who blends the different origins to make a delicious, well-balanced Pouilly-Fuisse.
"Good full red. Ripe aromas of cherry, minerals and rose petal. Sweet and juicy, with a bit less density than the Charmois. Bright red fruit and mineral flavors show a medicinal austerity on the back end, suggesting that this firmly tannic, solid wine will reward five or six years of aging." Stephen Tanzer
