Crafted in the most traditional and natural ways, the 2005 Frog's Leap Cabernet Sauvignon delivers a soft texture, ripe fruit and a deep connection to its soils - all with an alcohol level below 14%. Aromas of currant and blackberry combine with a warm spice tone right out of the glass. Flavors of dried black fruits pick up on the palate with added, subtle touches of cedar, leather and a hint of black olive. The wine's resolved tannins and integrated oak allow for a mouth-feel that is soft yet lean with a long finish that is carried by the bright, natural acid of the fruit.
Brimming with ripe fruit flavors, our 2003 vintage displays classic elegance framed in supple, smooth tannins that coat the palate in a fine-tuned embrace. This silky-smooth structure supports complex layers of spice, chocolate, cassis, black cherry, coffee and herbs. Reflecting our embrace of biodynamic and organic viticultural techniques, the wine is quite balanced—with all the elements residing harmoniously. We believe it offers a drinking experience that will serve up enormous pleasure today and for many years to come.

"Supple and graceful, especially for Mount Veeder, offering a mix of dried herb, ripe currant and cherry, with light cedary, creamy oak. Ends with a layered, complex aftertaste. Best from 2009 through 2013. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 10,000 cases made. 89 points" Wine Spectator
"Notably herbal, with a bell pepper and charry edge that's out of character for this producer. Ends on a dry, gritty note. Drink now through 2011. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 60,000 cases made. 82 points" Wine Spectator
"Smooth-textured, supple and harmonious, with subtle layers of currant, spice, herb, anise and light cedary oak, ending with a graceful mix of ripe fruit and fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2013. 50,000 cases made. 90 points" Wine Spectator
Kenwood Vineyard's Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is made predominantly of fruit sourced from Estate ranches in Sonoma Valley. Each vineyard lot is kept separate throughout fermentation and aging to preserve the unique flavors of the individual vineyards that create this consistent, award-winning wine. The result is a rich, complex, and fruity wine that has flavor reminiscent of raspberry truffles. Enjoyable now, the wine in this bottle will continue to improve with age.
"Earthy and a bit dirty, with melted plastic flavors that miss the mark. Huge disappointment given this wine's previous vintages. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 2,338 cases made. 72 points" Wine Spectator
Head for the hills! The 2005 Kunde Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is the epitome of Sonoma Valley Cabernet; herbal accents of fennel and anise wrap around a core of black raspberry and black cherry flavors so typical of Kunde's rolling hills and steep mountain grape blocks. A touch of Syrah, Malbec, and Petit Syrah adds color and richness to the wine - we'll break with the French blending tradition if it reveals the best of our land and its fruit! This fabulous wine was crafted using 80% hillside fruit. Grill some smoky pork chops stuffed with apples and gorgonzola, open a bottle of Kunde Estate Cabernet, and impress your mouth.
The color of dark rubies, this Cabernet presents itself with a nose of bourbon-soaked cherries, chocolate, and cedar, complemented by flavors of red currants, blackberry cobbler, and subtle notes of walnuts, wild game, and rich French oak.
